Getting Botox® during a trip to Mexico is more and more common. It's quick, leaves no marks, and the price is usually lower than in the US, Canada or Europe. What matters is choosing the right place, because it's still a medical procedure.
How much does Botox® cost in Playa del Carmen?
At Slim Medi Spa, Botox® starts at MXN $3,500 per area. The most common areas are the forehead, frown lines and crow's feet. The application takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Signs of a serious clinic
- They do an assessment before injecting: not every face needs the same units.
- They tell you which product they use, and you can see the box before the injection.
- They explain what to expect: the effect shows between day 3 and day 7, not as you walk out.
- They tell you who to contact with questions later, even once you're back home.
Red flags
- Prices far below average with no explanation of the product used.
- Promises of an instant result when you leave the appointment.
- Injecting without asking anything about your health or medications.
When to book it during your trip
At the start. The effect fully settles at two weeks, so you can see how it's going before you fly home. You can go to the beach and fly with no problem; just avoid lying face-down or pressing the area for the first few hours, and skip intense exercise that day.
How long does it last?
Between 4 and 6 months. Many people use their next trip to get a touch-up.
In summary
Vacation Botox® works very well if you do it early in your trip, at a clinic that assesses you, shows you the product and explains what to expect. Message us on WhatsApp and book your appointment for the first days of your stay.
